“Sweetening the pill” – How can we improve management of medicines?

Tuesday 25 April 2017 – Future Space, UWE North Gate, Bristol BS34 8RB
6:00 – 8:00pm

The number of older people (>65 years) who have sensory impairment (visual and/or hearing loss) is increasing and future increases are anticipated due to the ageing population. Older people often have multiple health conditions which are managed by medicines but medicine management can be difficult for older people and when combined with sensory impairment, visual and/or hearing, these difficulties are exacerbated.

Furthermore, patients often forget to take their medication. Whether it’s symptomatic of a failing memory, or people simply not remembering to fit their medication into a busy daily routine, it’s an issue with big implications for every area of healthcare.

Come to this special FREE event to hear more about how we might address the issues surrounding compliance and medication management.
