Jess is a passionate human-centred Designer who works with people to understand real user needs. Jess supports our product design and user engagement work; as well as managing one of our research and development projects which explores how we can make television more accessible for older people and people living with memory problems.

External Design Practitioner at the Evelina Children’s Hospital: Research and design development of a therapeutic product for children living with cerebral palsy

Expertise and interests

  • Human centred design: ethnographic research, human factors, methods and applications. Translating user-driven insights into design solutions/recommendations
  • Sketching: concept visualisation, stylising and idea generation
  • Graphic design/Illustration: 2D Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign, 3D modelling (SolidWorks)
  • Modelling: aesthetic models and prototypes
  • Experience collaborating with end users living with cerebral palsy
  • Experience collaborating with end users living with dementia
